Background Information Two Sides Wide Studio is a recent phenomenon. Until Christmas Day 2006, we were merely Two Sides Wide, a five-times-weekly webcomic. However, an increase in workload for Susan Golton (19) and Steve Cook (22), a degree and a job respectively, meant that a freer schedule was needed. Both members of the team are necessary, as Susan is the artist (and provides more than a few ideas for manga) whereas Steve is the colourist and scripter, nailing down the finer points of a story. Thus Two Sides Wide Studio was formed. Still just two people (and no plans to ever make it more than two) the main website now has links to online versions of all their comics. Some of them, like Egg and Mod, have been made in to printed comics, and both Mod and Duct were entries in Tokyopop's Rising Stars of Manga competition. All of the Two Sides Wide webcomic is available to view on the site, as is their previous comic endeavour, 'Ming!' Forthcoming projects, which will hopefully be updated every week or so, include a short Two Sides Wide manga, a fan-work based on Final Fantasy XI (both Steve and Sue are avid players) and an interesting project involving Victorian time period and orbiting spaceships. Two Sides Wide as an entity has, at point of writing (January '07) been to several conventions around the UK, including the UK Web and Mini Comix Thing and Amecon. Plans for 2007 currently include six or seven conventions. |
