Introduction This is Glomp!A short comic by Stephanie Drewett, it's about an ordinary lad from London, and his mad anime fangirl sister. This story is all about that subject and doesn't have any particular setting, but rather focuses on the thoughts of the brother on his crazy sister. It goes through all the usual wapanese moments, as well as the most hated of his sister's fangirl habits, the dreaded GLOMP!
Art & Design As you would expect from the creator of Mango Milkshake, the art in this comic is of a decent standard. However things are much simpler here, and less detailed. The characters are as good as ever though, and really expressive to boot, from the brother cringing, to the sister's over reactive glomping, and this adds memorable humour to the comic, which it really needs. The layout is fair, and adequate to the stories needs, fonts for dialogue look good also. One thing about this comic is the total lack of toning, everything is just bare line art, and I strongly feel that there could have been more detail added to backgrounds, just something to look at because otherwise this comic is fairly bare. Which really doesn't do the comic any favours since its so short, really in short comics, there needs to be something fairly substantial to look at, and nothing really stands out from the white of the paper, which is disappointing. But to be fair the comic is a good laugh, and it explores the feelings of the average person stuck with anime mad siblings quite well, the line art on its own could be considered very good, but on its own its only half a manga comic. My favourite picture on the whole comic, is the rear cover picture which is just beautiful, and in general this comic has been manufactured to a good standard. Overall this comic is good, but to have been a brilliant comic the art inside would need quite a bit more detail.
