This is the first in Sweatdrop's Ashcom series. It's a collection of short stories by Laura Watton, some of whom are base on real events out on holiday, or in the pub, or even just walking down the street. There are also a couple of previews of some of her other comics as well, such as Biomecha, and Reluctant Soldier Princess Nami.

Whilst there isn't exactly anything too gripping about this little collection of odds and ends, there is certainly an amount of amusement to be gained from the short stories. One day in Liverpool, and the mystery cup are examples of little one pagers which can amuse.

The art in most of these little odds and ends aren't the best Laura Watton has to offer. They were quick one pagers done for practice or just to kill time, but then that's what an ashcom is for. The book itself is just photocopied on paper and stapled together.

But lets face it for fifty pence it's not bad, and there is some content here which is bound to amuse someone. Every artist should do an ashcom, its like a window into the mind of an artist, and this one is a bit of fun into the bargain.
